vCAP Requirements

The minimum requirements for vCAP are below. Note that the requirements will increase depending on what else the vCAP computer is used for, and how many user's and calendars you have defined in vCAP.

The vCAP computer does not need to be dedicated to running vCAP, so you should take into account the requirements for the other software.

• Windows 95 or NT 4.0 or later
• Computer with Pentium (or higher) processor. (Note that it may run on a slower PC, but the performance may not be acceptable)
• 32MB RAM (for a 1 Calendar installation). Note that certain operating systems require more memory. For instance, for Windows XP a minimum of 256MB is normally recommended.
• 30MB Hard disk space required for vCAP. Some extra space will be needed for calendar data storage

Workstation computers can run any operating system which supports TCP/IP, and need suitable Web Browser software (any modern web browser, eg Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, Opera 7, Netscape 7, Mozilla, Firefox should be adequate)
